Peter G. Volsky, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon with fellowship training in otology and neurotology. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Neurotology Society. His practice – caring for children and adults – is sub-specialized to expert management of the ear and lateral skull base, as manifested by symptoms of hearing loss, vertigo, disequilibrium, and facial nerve dysfunction. He regularly performs microsurgical and endoscopic operations of the ear such as tympanoplasty, ossicular reconstruction, mastoidectomy, stapedotomy, cochlear implants, bone-anchored or osseointegrated auditory implants, and neurotologic skull base surgery with emphasis on vestibular schwannoma (acoustic neuroma).

Dr. Volsky has a scholarly interest in surgical training methods, surgical professionalism, and clinical research. A principal investigator of sponsored clinical trials relating to sensorineural hearing loss, he has published peer-reviewed articles relating to hearing, ear disease, and vestibular disorders. He participates in multidisciplinary teams, is an author and peer reviewer for scholarly journals, and since 2007 has published and presented research at national and international meetings. Dr. Volsky is fluent in Spanish and English.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, completed otolaryngology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and fellowship at Pittsburgh Ear Associates. He was a senior physician in otology/neurotology private practice from 2015-2020. Since 2020, at EVMS Medical Group, he has held the position of Assistant Professor.
