Aditi M. Patel, MD
RheumatologyDr. Aditi Patel is a board-certified rheumatologist with advanced training from the Cleveland Clinic, one of the nation's premier academic medical centers. She completed both her Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and subsequently served as a staff rheumatologist there for three years. During this time, she gained extensive experience managing complex autoimmune diseases and worked within a multidisciplinary rheumatic lung disease program.
Her clinical expertise focuses on the pulmonary manifestations of rheumatic diseases, including interstitial lung disease (ILD) associated with systemic sclerosis, inflammatory myopathies, and rheumatoid arthritis. She is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care that improves both quality of life and long-term health outcomes.
Dr. Patel currently serves as an assistant professor of Medicine at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences Eastern Virginia Medical School at Old Dominion University. She is actively involved in clinical care, medical education, and research, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. Her dedication to teaching has earned her national recognition, including the Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award and the Cleveland Clinic Excellence in Teaching Award.
